Solar Battery Requirements: From a country that has a clear, sunny sky all year long. Description: The Solar Battery is a unique mutation that has recently been appearing in shinobi who live in bright, sunny places. Their skin cells somehow react to the radiation of sunlight, converting it into chakra and affecting their physiology in many powerful ways. The powers and effects of the Solar Battery mutation are not a conscious effort, abilities and skills caused by it are more akin to additional physiological mutations. Increased strength, increased durability, X-ray vision, and a variety of techniques. In order to use these abilities, the Solar Battery must draw from an internal store of solar energy. This store will normally be at full capacity, as it drains very slowly when it's abilities are not used. The durability enhancement, strength, and other techniques all drain the solar power in a unique way. The Solar Battery cannot recover energy for techniques without a bright sun present. All techniques are taijutsu, as they are a usage of the user's body. They are manifestations brought forth by focusing chakra to activate them.
Enhanced Durability Rank: A Style: Taijutsu Requirements: Solar Battery Hand Seals: None Chakra Cost: Low per post Description: The user's cells have begun to radiate a bio-electric aura which concentrates just above the skin of the user to shield them from attacks. This invisible aura hovers just above the user's skin, and is effective in withstanding all kinds of damage. The damage needed to break this barrier is proportionate to the amount of solar energy the Solar Battery has left, but a strong attack could disable it temporarily and drain a portion of solar energy. Effects: This ability creates an invisible armor which protects the Solar Battery's clothing and skin, a bio-electric aura defending against Strength of up to 8 and giving a bonus of +1 Endurance. Jutsu must be Rank B or higher to disrupt this shield for a post and drain an amount of solar energy proportionate used to the chakra of the technique which broke it.
Enhanced Strength Rank: A Style: Taijutsu Requirements: Solar Battery Hand Seals: None Chakra Cost: Low-High, depending on usage. Description: The user's muscle cells are also enhanced greatly by the solar power, giving them strength bonuses proportionate to what they're attempting to move or hit. When simply striking, the strength is at it's weakest. It truly reveals itself when attempting to lift, push, or hold something. The energy reacts in need to the force against the user, making this technique perfect for stopping assaults and resisting force rather than punching. This can also be used to strengthen the user's lungs, blowing out a typhoon when they exhale proportionate to the chakra input. Effects: +1 to Strength passively. This bonus can increase by one point depending on how much is put into the technique, but to enhance it the user must be resisting or holding some force, rather than striking. Putting in Low gives enough strength to enhance a strike, +1. Putting in Mid gives +2 for resistance. Giving High temporarily gives +4, for resistance. These last one post, requiring repeat inputs if they need to continue to resist. For the lung strengthening, the user can pay low to give them the ability to hold their lungs for hours. Paying Mid lets them blow a small but high speed gust of wind, able to send up to 500 pounds flying for 10 meters. One must have an endurance of 8 or higher to resist this. Paying High lets them blow an even larger wave of wind, able to send up to 1k pounds flying. One would have to have an Endurance of 10 to resist being blown for 25 meters.
X-Ray Vision Rank: B Style: Taijutsu Requirements: Solar Battery Hand Seals: None Chakra Cost: Mid Description: An odd technique, the user will emit radiation through their eyes, solar radiation of course. This allows them to detect and percieve subtle cosmic radiation that reverberates through all matter. This helps them to visualize through walls the shapes of objects and people. This only gives him vision of the basic forms of people through solid objects, not their identity or abilities. Effects: When activated will allow the user to see through all solid objects for detection. This drains chakra per post it's used, and only uses a small amount of solar energy.
Enhanced Jump Rank: C Style: Taijutsu Requirements: Solar Battery Hand Seals: None Chakra Cost: Mid Description: This allows an influx of solar energy to the legs to be used for an incredible leap. The highest that one can jump with this is a staggering 80 meters, landing with no damage to the user. Using this strength takes a small portion of solar energy, but for shorter jumps this is lessened. It was once theorized that one could fly using this technique, this idea drawn from a Solar Battery who leapt from the earth's orbit. Even if this rumor were true, there's no way he survived the vacuum of space and re-entry, flight through solar energy being a ridiculous premise. Effects: User can leap 80 meters in a single bound, enough to clear a tall building.
Heat-Vision Rank: S Style: Taijutsu Requirements: X-Ray Vision, Solar Battery Hand Seals: Chakra Cost: Low to High Description: A direct advancement of the technique used in X-Ray Vision, this allows the user to emit a deadly laser of heat from their eyes. This attack is the most rapidly draining of the jutsu in a Solar Battery's arsenal. Even the lowest version is hot enough to cause intense burns and melt through steel, searing flesh with deadly precision. The beams travel at a high speed, a direct blast that can outrun all but the fastest of opponents. At higher levels it can melt holes in walls, or burn the user's entire field of vision, for a less focused, but still deadly attack. Effects: At low this is a short burst of precision lasers which can sear the flesh they impact, start fires, boil water, and melt through small amounts of metal such as a normal sword or piece of armor. Unique items cannot be damaged this way. The Mid version is a larger impact of heat, the two beams turning into one because of their size. This version is much more deadly, causing incredibly painful burns and starting large fires. The final version will encompass the user's entire field of vision, setting fire to all flammable material and vaporizing a huge amount of water. Of course, this doesn't damage flesh, but may sting a little. This travels at the speed of a 19 dex score, meaning only the fastest alive could outrun it instead of dodging or blocking.
